Saw it today. The movie was great. Lots of action. Decent enough story.

Ok well Im glad I waited for DVD

Such a let down, all the other AP movies were so much better.

only thing we learn is the predators we know of, are just the little guys, they get hunted just like us.

the rest was fluff

I missed this thread the first time around and didn't even know this movie existed. I watched the trailer just now thinking it was brand new.

So I guess it was a stinker huh?

4 months old and already on DVD.

I'm a sucker for a cheesy action kill flic.............. I'll probably check it out.

I enjoyed it. I will be getting the DVD. It's much better then AVP requiem. They actually made it similar to the first movies. There was a storyline and it was an entertaining movie. Don't like the look of the new predators though.

Story line?

Had as much of a story line as the blair witch

and the rip off ending of the first one was ok I guess, they can't see you if your covered in mud n standing near fire.....

Which I don't believe for one sec, yea maybe the first time, but by now with all their technology, and that new race of bigger predators, you can't tell me they can't tell the difference in heat signatures by now.

Gimm a camera a fireman uses and Ill find you cover n mud in a fire.

Yes it was part of the first movie plot but by now, ya think they would know better.

Like the same old plot, just sneeze on an alien and we win.

Now if the movie was real, first thing when Eric Formen found that dangerious toxic plant they would of harvested it for defense.

like the dried goop on his nife, they could of covered every bullet n leet it dry, making it a 1 shot per enemy deal.

plus who know what other plants they could have used, which a real special forces person would of know about themselfs and used.

I rented it, and don't even think its worth the 20min it would take to copy it, if I could.

AVPR was good

I found it entertaining. That's really all I care about, I don't watch these types of movies for a solid plot at all times. That's why Starship Troopers sold so well even though my friends and I completely ripped apart the "tactics" used over and over

I need realism, like why was there not a night time camp shot of the bigger Pred's do they sit around the camp fire n BS, were they getting drunk n taking turns rapin the reg Pred, why were they keeping him/her alive n tied up and not killed like the rest???

In all the other movies they never kept anyone alive, only the aliens did.

so why???

First off for the love of God don't compare this to Starship Troopers. That movies was awful for so many reasons.

The reason they kept it alive is they were using it as bait.

If you're looking for realism I think you're watching the wrong movie. Perhaps Blackhawk Down or Saving Private Ryan? I thought the movie was fun and had a good amount of action. How much story are you looking for? It's people with guns and Predators. Thats the story. Someone's gonna die. Most likely not the Predators. I don't think anyone goes into these movies expecting the next Forrest Gump. Like the movie The Expendables it's explosions and violence. Nothing more, nothing less and I'm cool with that.

My guess - Preparing him for some sort of ritual sacrifice. They found the biggest juiciest predator and were saving him for their gods

I need realism that goes with the plot, not real life persay......
But keep the the plot and movie line.

like the first movie, those special forces guys used every trick in the book,

these new ones didn't do anything till the end, when Formen was used as a booby trap.

And I donnu, I think they were skull F'in that little Pred at night

not necessarily a stinker. gotta keep in mind that it takes less and less time for movies to make it from theaters to DVD.

keep in mind that the helmet was also damaged and wasn't giving a clear view
that being said, he could have flipped thru the screens and found one that negated the IR and heat from the fire.

except when he found it, they weren't fully aware of what they were up against.

like the dried goop on his nife, they could of covered every bullet n leet it dry, making it a 1 shot per enemy deal.
yeah, but only a couple of them paid attention to the plant. most of them were too focused on just staying alive.

plus who know what other plants they could have used, which a real special forces person would of know about themselfs and used.

I rented it, and don't even think its worth the 20min it would take to copy it, if I could.

ur kidding right? AVPR is what Terminator 3 was to the first one.

the one that was tied up was a sacrifice. its all explained in the comics

but maybe you aren't a big enough fan to go that far into it...lol

there were more tricks in the book that they could have used. but you gotta remember that part of the storyline is also about the main characters "redemption" of sorts.
