I do not plan to lower my Camaro, however, I would like a little more tire width so if I scrape a curb I won't tear up my rims which are almost flush with the tires. I like the stock rims better than most aftermarket rims and plan to keep them. Nitto is the only option I've found for 255/45 and 285/40/20's. These sizes add about 1/3 inch. to wheel height which will also fill in the wheel well a bit more. Any opinions regarding this in terms of esthetics, ride, clearance, unsprung weight, tire brand etc. I realize there may be a slight penalty to acceleration times, however I don't drag race. This car is primarily about looks.

Consider that your speedometer accuracy will be effected also...
I love my stock rims too but tire diameter is a concern too. I'm thinking maybe 265/40-20 and 305/35-20s would be close.
Anyone have 305s on stock 20 x 9s to show?

I've been running the 275 Pzeros on the front stock wheels and 305 PZeroes
on my rear stock wheels for 15,000 miles now. They work perfectly and look great also. They stick out past the rim just enough to protect them.
The car has been numerous times over 150 mph without a problem. Also been to the road course with alot of side loading in the curves and never had any sort of problems with the beads holding on the stock wheels.

Sweet!! I love the look!!!
You didn't have to use spacers? Did you have to move or route anything different to make them work?

No spacers, there's still 1.5+" of room on the inside to the fender wells.
I put the 275 PZeroes from the rear on the front 8" wheels and they dont rub the fenders or liners in the front either.

That's what I want to do too. It's nice to know it really works!
Now how did you find some 305s for a good price? They look to be $479 a piece. I wonder if I could fit the 315s so I can get Continental DWSs instead ($220). Continental doesn't make a 305 option...

I have 315's on my car....is there any way to go bigger...325/335/345. Even with a spacer. Assuming the rime is a 11 min. I'm really trying to go that much bigger. The 315's look great.. I just want a bit more! Nine Ball,,,,,specifically for you...since you seem to the doctor on this

call me crazy but I want to fit a 325 in the rear of my car doing a lot of measuring and calculating but wont give up. I will find a way. by the way 315 fit great on a 10 or 11 inch rim just make sure you have the right offset

Talk to Pete at JPSS. He can get you a rim that will allow or 325 with proper offset. He's a sponsor and usually over in the suspension section.
