Best MPG boosting mods

Hi,

I'm picking up my 2LT next monday and I was considering some future mods for the car(CAI, axleback, longtube headers, maybe even a turbo in a distant future ).

I thought I'd start a thread about V6 mods and MPG differences since I am very interested in mods that help with mileage.

I know that most CAIs, and performance exhausts add some mileage.
I think SCRMN had mentioned that his MRT 1.0 had given him a few extra mpg(I think it was 3?).

If you have a mod and you've noticed a mpg increase, feel free to post the BRAND and MOD that you got, along with the INCREASE IN MPG here so that everyone can see which ones help the most.

Got about 3 MPG after install of both SOLO performance cat back exhaust and Injen CAI. The only problem with the great sound that the mods give I really want to jump on the gas ! There goes all the gain !

3 MPG is roughly $100 per year savings. You have to compare that to the mod. For the MRT 1.0 it would take you 4 years to make up for what you spend.

Michael Savage was just advertising the Platinum Fuel Saver, don't ask cause I don't know what it is, just supposed to be like having another quarter tank of gas. Would I use it, probably not.

Yes, but the great sound and added power starts immediately after installation

I absolutely love it. The install was so easy, instructions were great and the fit and finish are top notch. It really is a great upgrade that can't be beat for the price.

The SLP catalog has a claim of better mileage by using their drop springs. They say the lower ride height decreases the frontal area and reduces drag. They tested the springs on a V-6 and got an increase of about 4 MPG.

Not really any dependable eco-boosters that I'm aware of... You're already gettin the sixer, that's eco-boost enough IMO
