The 16th Annual Red River Classic Car Show is coming up on June 1-3. This is another event from last year that didn't have a chance to take off that we are going to make happen this year.

Over 100 of the most awesome classic, hot rod, and cars cruise into Red River for this exciting Car Show is held at the Brandenburg Park.

Open to all years.

They are also going to have a bunch of events that will be some good family fun.
(Cash Drawings/Trophies/Door Prizes/Hula Hoop Contests/Bubble Blowing Contests/Sack Races/Cake Walks/Pizza Walks/Food Vendors/Live Music/Car Hop Exhibition)

There will be a neon parade on Friday and Saturday nights. A great chance for those with halos to show 'em off.

We talked to Rebecca Sanchez who is charge of the car show and she sounded really excited to have CCNM out there.

Registration is $35 for the 1st car and $25 for 2nd car (Rebecca said we can double up on the registration) and $45 day of show.

The Lifts West Condos has rooms from hotel settings to condominiums that should be able to accommodate everyone.
They also have a pool and are right next to Brandenburg Park.
They are offering a 10% discount for car show participants.
I ordered one of their cheapest rooms and it was a total $158 for both nights. (before discount)

The events start on Friday evening with setup for the Car Show early Saturday morning so we are planning on leaving Friday afternoon.

We are still trying to see what time will be good for everyone to leave Albuquerque.

Red River is about a 3hr drive going thru Espanola/Taos.

This looks to be another great weekend trip and I hope we can see a big group out there to represent CCNM.

My wife and are going a great change to get out of town for awhile. We got a room at the Alpine lodge. Paper work is turned in and now is time to sit and wait. So I missed the info at the meeting last night on the who, what, were and when for that Fri.? anyone ?

Audrey put out that the tentitive plan is to leave ABQ around 3:30-4:00 PM Friday and make 2 scheduled stops enroute to Red River. One just north of Santa Fe and another in Espanola.

I'm thinking that perhaps we should all meet somewhere towards the edge of town before we depart.... ???

Up for suggestions....lotta right off the highway spots in Bernallilo.

Audrey and Lawrence worked mega hard on this so it owuld be great ot have a nice coordinated effort to get up there and have a blast!!

I think Audrey mentioned last night that we meet up at the Valero on Tramway and Rainbow near Sandia. Correct me if I'm wrong.
