I swear if one more person says they like their old wheel better I'm gonna flip, ok we get you don't like the wheel I prefer my older one over it but they changed it. No reason for 20+ people to say the same exact thing.

I have to agree with the Fenwick kid. As much as I wish GM would have given me a new radio/HVAC control center, I am very impressed that a big company like G.M. would listen to its customers and make changes so quickly. I don't believe I was a member of this forum at the time I called G.M. customer service. When I called, the nice lady took down my comments and said she would pass them along, and that G.M. was always paying attention to customer comments. Some of the things that I told her were keeping me from signing the dotted line on a 2010 have been addressed with the 2012 model. Again, I'm impressed! ...and this from a guy who grew up in a Ford family.

Congrats on the new ride! Got any pics of the engine compartment? I've been waiting to see pics of the 2012's forever! Thanks for posting!

Personally the wheel could work, with minor adjustments, maybe increst it with camaro, and add some color. I definetly understand why they made the change, but I wish they listen and make it a bit more unique to the car. Personally I still feel the camaro saved GM, by bringing in more people into the dealerships and eventually looking into other cars... maybe GM can throw some love at the camaro 8). really like the new dash changes

Do the 4 pack gauges match the new Tach/Speedo gauge or are they the same that were on the 10/11's?

I don't understand you at all. In fact, with all due respect, that's probably one of the dumbest things I've ever seen written on these boards.
YOU would say that !

As far as the changes - I feel they are too subtle to make or break people looking to purchase a Camaro.

But I am happy my '10 has the steering wheel it does.

I want to know how easy it's going to be to put a 2012 passenger seat in a 2010

If Grunt's car had the stock black seats, I would tell you. I had big plans to sneak up to PA and swap the seats out of his and into my 2010 while he wasn't looking, but he had to go and get that orange interior!

I'm wondering if the stitching on the dash will just be a 2LT/ 2SS feature??

Wow, lots of discussion on the new interior upgrades. After driving many many miles in the last 4 days here are some observations.
The new steering wheel is much more comfortable to me, and I have a lot of miles in the 10 and 11s. It is noticably more comfortable. I haven't really noticed the chevy bowtie after the first day, but I too would have liked to see CAMARO there instead. But overall a big improvement. Again, this is MY opinion.

The adjustable passenger seat is a huge hit with my lovely wife. And also was nice when I adjusted it up making it much easier for my 85 year old Dad to get in an out. My wife has a Solstice also and I wish it had the height adjustment in it. This was a good move for the 2012.

The door locks- OK at first I was glad we did that. But to be honest, I have hardly used them. I always seem to go to the center lock button (yes it is still there). Guess its muscle memory or I'm just old and forget they are now in on the door.

The Orange panels on the interior at first were distracting and just not my cup of tea. But they have grown on me. Very in your face and I like that in a car such as the Camaro. More importantly my wife likes them and they have drawn mostly good reviews from the many folks in 5 states that have looked at the car.

the V6 323 HP. To be honest I don't see much increase in power. But its been awhile since I drove another V6. Mileage for the first 500 or so miles was just at 25MPG. That was mostly flat MI and OH highway driving. And no I wasn't going above the legal limit.
The second 500, I reset it after 530 miles. Was actually better. Approaching 26, but a lot of stop and go, very hilly, twisting roads. So I am pretty happy with that.

At 1000 miles, no issues to report and I look for any and all. I nitpick everything on a CTF car, that is what they are for.

So in summary, good handling, decent fuel economy, door buttons -take them or leave them, steering wheel a hit with me, adjustable seat hit with the 'boss'.

I will post some more pics of the gauges and engine compartment as some have requested.

Hope everyone had a safe 4th!
And thanks for supporting this great vehicle!

Did anyone notice the rear spoiler? It looks different. Bigger that the 10's and 11's

Thanks for the update. I do like the looks of the 10/11 wheel better than the 12's, but I do get cramps im my hands on longer trips from the thickness and odd shape of the rim. I wonder how hard it would be to swap one out?
