Point Proven About V6
this has been beaten to death but i MUST say this cause it just gets on my nerves SO MUCH
Quote:
You can bash the V6 all you wish but please DON'T cause i am SICK OF THIS CRAP . I will not be insulted for owning a V6 people always say "Nightfall why you so quick to defend the V6". THIS IS WHY V8 has 376 CI it has 50!!!! HP PER CUBIC INCH <.< yeah 45!!!!!!! more HP per cubic inch so WITCH IS THE MORE POWERFUL MOTOR AGAIN? its not the amount of Cylinder's you have ITS WHAT YOU DO WITH THEM NOT A MUSCLE CAR MY A$$ I love the V8 and its history and everone who owns one. This is not a shot at you i respect everone. But when i feel i am insulted i must react and i kept quite about this a long time. This is the truth of the matter sorry but facts dont lie. I am so sick of defending the V6 cause i should not have too. And this mentality of "the V8 is superior to the V6'' is BULL. And the V6 is not a "muscle car". It may never SOUND like a V8 but SO WHAT i like facts. Numbers its all about NUMBERS GAME in the muscle car world. MY .02 CENTS

you are correct but thats another debate for another time. For the sheer size of the new 5th gen is a FULL sized car. The orginal ones was a much "smaller" compact type car so "muscle car" is a "full sized" car. And the camaro fits that. But another debate for another thread

So you react to insults with more insults? Also, not all of us V8 guys rip on you V6 guys... what maybe 1% of the members on here do? I think for a V6 Chevy uses in these cars is strong for a 6. Some people just feel that a muscle car is a powerful car with a V8, and I'll bet thats just their .02.

Far as history gos I GET IT V8 = MUSCLE CARS bigger the motor MORE OF THE MUSCLE CAR. FINE but times change and that's just how it gos *edit* but there .02 cents is wrong cause the V6 is more powerful for what it is. The V8 wins in torque fine i can't argue that at all hands down it wins. But over all i am right

My v6 is better than your v6! It weighs less than your v6 due to the fact I have less change in the cup holder. Also,my v6 is cyber metallic gray which is PROVEN to be more areodynamic than black. Furthermore, I have a 2010 camaro which turns right better than the 2011 which I learned on craigslist.
You are so good at brushing stuff off nightfall so let it go. You like your car so who cares what others think. People like to ruffle feathers in life. If it wasnt the size of the engine it would be something else. quit trying to prove something like this it won't work. |

Maybe if there weren't so many threads about it, there wouldn't be an issue. Do you REALLY think you're going to change the minds of the people that don't feel the same as you about the V6?

wow, I am now more stupid from reading this thread and probably even more stupid for wasting brain cells to respond to it.
The bottom line is the V6 is NOT a muscle car, it’s just not! It’s a sporty looking car with nice power, in fact very impressive power but far from muscle car status. I mean come on, there are SUV's out with more power then the V6, that can take the V6. Are they considered "muscle SUV's"? I love my V6 Camaro!! But sorry NF, IMO, it's not a "muscle car", nor would I ever call it one!! Last edited by nyrfan; 08-30-2011 at 08:18 AM. |

Not flaming or trying to degrade the V6 Camaro...it's a powerful and respectful car. The term Muscle Car got its origins in the late '60s well before V6 technology allowed 300+ HP in anything smaller than a V8 big block. Here's some references for you to read...
http://www.musclecarclub.com/musclec...finition.shtml http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muscle_car http://www.musclecarsociety.com/muscle-car-definition Maybe someone should coin a NEW description of the NEW cars that have NEW power. "Muscle" refers mainly to the old-style V8s of yester-year .....I'm just sayin....

It's not a muscle car... Get over it.
The name and heritage of Camaro some people think muscle car, but I would never call my V6 that. But hey, whatever gives you more reason to build your posts, go for it. |
