This is old but, this disappeared on my car which I noticed when installing my MGW Shifter. It concerns me because all of my linkage parts are hanging out in the open, that can't be right. I asked my dealer to replace this while doing the recall and they told me that no boot exisits other than the interior boot on the "diagram" they have. So long story short, my dealer has no clue what this is. Does anyone know a part number for this?

Seems like lots of people don't get it installed back correctly and the drive shaft grabs it and rips it off. That's possibly what happened to yours, it's pretty tricky to get it back into the grooves on the shifter body.

Searching around it looks like the boot itself isn't offered as a part and it only comes if you buy a complete shifter assembly.
