True dat. This all seems so surreal after the years of rumors and waiting. And what a great experience it has been following this car during that time. I'm very happy to say that GM has not only met my expectations along the way, but has smashed them into a million pieces with the hammer of awesomeness.

Chevrolet will be careful when settling on the ZL1's MSRP, because if the ZL1 is priced too far above the GT500, or too close to the CTS-V, people will opt for those vehicles instead of the ZL1, and Chevrolet will have defeated the purpose of developing the ZL1 in the first place. Chevrolet wants to see ZL1s on the street, the strip, and the track. If the ZL1 is priced appropriately, ZL1s will be seen dominating its class at those venues. I'm confident that Chevrolet won't repeat the pricing debacle of the 1969 ZL1s.

....... did GM ever specify WHERE the horsepower rating came from? With times like these, I am starting to suspect it is from the wheels!

Impressive! That being said, outside of some sort of bragging rights, it has little real-world bearing as 99.9% of ZL1 owners will never drive the 'Ring. I'd be more interested in seeing the car going head-to-head with the competition on the American tracks like Barber, Laguna Seca, VIR, etc.

How are you figureing it's faster than the ZR1????? ZR1 did it in 7:19 and some change. Last I checked 7:41 is not faster than 7:19.

In thoughts of Camaro SS vs Camaro ZL1 Will the ZL1 even see the SS in it's rear view or will it see a dot that used to be an SS?

Let's take an serious and honest vote, now..... After seeing the times, who honestly thinks this 2012 Camaro ZL1 is really going to have a starting MSRP around $48,000 ????? I am even more inclined to take a guess this car will be well close to $60,000 now, maybe more..... Opinions/thoughts ???
