Leftover 8/3 TPW'ers come on in...
Below are all the 3400 Status 8/3/2009 TPW owners who have made themselves known, who didn't get built per schedule. if Viz adds more this evening, I will put them on the list.
hopefully we will see the majority of these knocked out this week (8/10-8/16) as you all check tomorrow, I'll update this list with VINs- or if you find out from your dealer, post up & I'll update it that way too... **If you know what day you went to 3400, let me know- I suspect the majority of us are dated 7/31 or 8/1** IF YOU'RE BUILT! GO HERE AND ENTER THE INFO FOR FURTHER TRACKING: http://camarotracking.com/ from Viz's tracking pages, current as of: pages 284 -313 as of post #7816 BLUE IS 8/12/09 RED IS 8/11/09

#17 checking in...unfortunately :(
called my dealer for an update...turns out he quit! so the new guy checks for me...tells me "it's being built...but no vin showing yet". I'm guessing maybe that means i was showing at 3800...viz says i'm still at 3400 though...i think i trust viz more! Wish I woulda talked to the guy on the phone instead of getting a voice mail!

haha, my dealer's on vacation for another week- 3400 means our parts are on the assembly line, so sooner or later we'll make it to the end and roll off... we just happened to pull the short straw and got "later"

i'm hoping that since i live on a main rail line from east-to-west coast that it won't take long for shipping once i get there! basically only chicago stands between canada and me! ...they really ought to give us the option of picking the thing up at the factory...now that would be cool (and fast)!!

true, but the scary part is what sampling we "50" actually represent...only a small percentage of camaro's are represented on Camaro5, you know? so that 50, may be representative of 435 cars (one day's build--ie, last Monday's Holiday) if Oshawa is now one day behind, that's going to make a wave that affects every week to come, unless they up production to accommodate the shift. the answer will come tomorrow if we see 8/10 TPW folks receiving VINS...

So...if we assume that every single registered member on this site actually purchased a 2010 camaro, that has already been built, to this point, each person here represents about 2.3 actual cars. In that frame of mind, 50 unbuilt cars on this site would = ~115 unbuilt cars across the world, or 1/4 of a work day. Given that that's likely a gross undercalculation in all senses of the word, it's quite likely that those 50 camaro5 members who have yet to receive vins equals far more than 115 worldwide, and likely even far more than the 400 or so built in a "regular production day." At some point it seems to suggest that, in order to remain "on target" for their production numbers, GM will have to A) expand daily production or B) skip a week of new targets to allow them to catch up. C) reduce the number of tpws significantly for a week to catch up. Failing to do any one, the cascading wave of delayed productions would eventually put entire weeks of tpws behind schedule. also...given that there were a fairly significant number of 7/27 (though far less than 50 it seemed) builds that spilled over to 8/4 and beyond, the compounding of the delay is already beginning.

My TPW was 8/3. I went to 3400 on 8/1. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

haha, yeah i got it- everyone on that list has an 8/3 TPW- that's a given...If possible, it would be interesting to get the date that everyone went to 3400--in your case 8/1... this would give us all a time frame as to where the cars are in relation to one another--
everyone on the list: i've got to go take care of some stuff round the house, so I'll fill in names as I have time... if you know who you are let me know. Thanks, good luck!
