rotor issue

I changed the rotors on my Camaro this past weekend. I snapped one of the t30 torx bolts holding the rotor on. I had my torque wrench set at 44lbs like the write up in the diy section post said, but it never got there. I was told that all those bolts do is hold the rotors on going down the assembly line. I put it all back together and all seems well. What do yall think?

yeah its fine I have had to drill them out before up here in the salt zone. Winter is hell they rust in place and they were the Philips head style striped out trying to use hammer style shock screw driver. So I drilled head off removed rotor lightly heated and used locking pliers to remove the rest. Pain in the ass it helps hold the rotor in perfect position as you install the tire but 99.99% of the time it fits so tight to the hub it makes no difference.
