I believe it's every 5000 miles however the car will let you know when it's time to change but check your engine oil level at least once a week

From edmunds.com regarding 7 myths of oil changes. I think there are a lot of different opinions on the first oil change:

5. When you buy a new car, change your oil at 3,000 miles to remove metal particles from the engine break-in process. There might be a grain of truth to this, according to the experts at Blackstone. Oil samples from engines during the first 3,000 miles of driving show elevated "wear-in" metal levels, coming from the pistons and camshafts, says Ryan Stark, Blackstone's president. But he added, "To me, it doesn't make that much difference because if the filings are big enough to cause damage, they will be taken out by the oil filter."

However, a Honda spokesman says its cars come from the factory with a special oil formulation for the break-in period. Honda advises owners to not change the oil early. Stark said Blackstone Laboratories' test of Honda's break-in oil shows it contains molybdenum-disulfide, an anti-wear additive. But Stark said Honda is the only manufacturer he knows that's using special break-in oil. The take-away? If there are any special break-in recommendations from the manufacturer, follow them. And consider analyzing the oil at 3,000 miles.

If I were you 500-700 miles no more since engine is still in breakin period. Then I would change again after 1500 miles. Then follow most 5000 mlies or oil life monitor whichever comes first unless under severe driving conditions then sooner.
Now the gm owners manual will not tell you this and this is what I would do its your choice.

Within the first 1,500 miles is when you will see a lot of metal shavings from the rings breaking in with the most of those shavings coming from the first 500 miles. You need to get those shavings out asap. It's recommended to do a oil change at 500 miles and another at 1,500 miles. After that you can follow whatever oil change interval you want.

I am headed in to my dealer tomorrow for an Oil & Filter change. I am just over 1,400 miles on a 2013 2SS I bought about a month ago. The dealer tells me that the vehicle is shipped from the factory with Mobil 1, 5W - 30 Synthetic oil and no oil change is needed. But, I am going to do it anyways. Then every 5,000 files.

Drove off the lot went home and put in conventional oil (and magnetic plug) for the 1st 100 mile break in period. At 100 & 500 miles I changed again this time with Mobil 1, I will do so again at 1500 miles. After that I will change every 4K.

On the V6 I asked the dealerships service department the day I bought the car how long to I break it in with the current oil before changing, answer 3000 miles. I changed it at 3000 and will change again when the life system tells me to. I figured 7500 mile minimum intervals. Running Mobil 1.

1st off we are not talking about a City here, it's Mobil.

2nd, oil is cheap. You can easily do a V6 Mobil 1 change for $40, in some cases closer to $35. What you are paying through Amazon is a rip off.

I would NEVER let an LLT or LFX hit 7K between oil changes.

I was looking at Amazon for oil and there is no way I would pay the price tag for it. I went to Walmart and they had the blended oil and it was less then a dollar cheaper then Mobil 1 full synthetic so I went with full synthetic. Mobil 1 is Dexos approved. I can buy a 5 quart jug of Mobil 1 for just under $27 but you will need to buy 2nd because the V6 takes close to 6. Owners manual says 6 but I was actually a little over the full mark when I added the extra quart and yes that was checking it after I ran and circulated the oil. So why would you waste the money and buy it for $50 on Amazon.

Dean.
