Post your Cat Back VERT system please!

Ok- so I've given up on Flow Master as they finally acknowledged they wont be building a Cat-Back convertible compatible system any time soon (axle-back variation to be released around end of June)...

That being the case, im back in the market again for an exhaust, problem is- don't know which systems have been TESTED and proven to fit the convertible (without additional modifications.)

So please, fellow vert owners, if you have a CAT-BACK exhaust system on your car, please, post here! (Sound clips/vids also greatly appreciated!)

On a more specific note- I've turned my sights to the Borla Atak, however; need to know if it'll fit n LS3 w GM gfx....

Thanks in advance!

Borlaug Exhaust

Drago I'm thinking about the Borlaug ATAK or S-Type, and unless I'm confused I think they are about to be available for the vert. Maybe I'm wrong about that?

My Vert should be here this week! 2SS RS 20" Polished Black exterior IOM interior. I cant wait!!!!!!!!

Drago, Give the solo performance guys a call, they have been working on the Vert V8 cat back. The V6 cat back only required some minor pulls to get it to clear all the bracing. I had this system on my coupe also and it sounds great.

Borla S-type on mine. Now that I hit 1000 miles. I had the car put up on a lift to check everything. I felt the catback was a little too close to the cross bracing so I put some spacers on the bolts between the car and the braces to make a little more room. Other than that, I love it.

According to Steve and Jeff at Solo they don't have anything that will fit the convertible...Yet. So I figured I would take one for the Camaro5 team and drive the 800 miles or so and let them figure it out on my car. Jeff said he wanted to do both the cat back and axle back fitment so he will need my car for 2 days. I should be up there the first week of June. I'll let you all know how it turns out.

Just found out Magnaflow Comp.and St. Series are brig released this week for the verts... ugh- decisions, decisions!

So we have:

BORLA: touring, S Type.and Atak
SLP: Loudmouth
Magnaflow: Street and Comp...

***update***
appearantly I received some "questionable " information from a nearby retailer;

Magnaflow (per their own customer service rep I spoke to myself) is still in pre-production phase. I was told to check back in 2-4 weeksfor an update. They ate currently accepting pre-orders, but no expected release/ship date.

Sorry, but I went with the GMPP axle back (supposedly built by Borla).
Thought about waiting for aftermarket, but the dealer talked me into just having him do it before delivery so it's on the paperwork for 30-40 years from now and no questions asked by our local emissions Nazis at every inspection.
Sounds great, but I do notice a bit of a drone at about 72mph under light throttle with the top up. Nice agressive sound when you jump on it.
Haven't found a good solution to finish the pipes through the GFX though.

I'll have to add my Borla S cat-back to the mix also. Works great, no rattle after driving it for a good 1000+ miles.

Magnaflow shows systems on thier website compatible for the vert, BUT THEY DON'T FIT. I found out the hard way. I had a shop install one for me, assured that it was for the convertible only to find out they torched and smashed it to get it to fit under the middle brace, and had to also dent it to get it to clear the two rear braces. So now supposedly magnaflow is going to have the correct one within a month and is going to replece mine and cover the shops labor. I can tell you that it is the street series and it sounds great! the tips look really cool two.
