How do you think GM will react to the new GT500 having 540hp?
Like the title says...
I mean, is the General REALLY gonna let Ford take the bragging rights for most powerful muscle car off the lot for long? I don't wanna mention z/28 and get people's panties twisted, but... What do y'all think? |

Doesn't matter because if im thinking correctly.. The mustang is topped out... and the Camaro v8 will be 400/420ish with lots of head room to go..
Plus can we say PRICE TAG? If Im thinking of the correct thing that is.

that being said, you will spend more initially, but less in mods for more HP (but still much more expensive than the current camaro) ... To the OP .. if Chevy tries to answer it .. I would like for something with F/I and putting out about 500 - 550 hp as well .. I would also think the price range is going to be about 45k. Crowley

Whipple I do believe is Emissions Illegal to have on a Road car.. Unless Im wrong on that... Would mean it would be an offroad car only.

I think GM should focus on staying alive and Market products that have already been developed (like the 5th Gen) and save any money that would be put towards a Z28 until they know exactly where the market bottom is for new cars. (It used to be around 17 million per year and has dropped to about 9-10 Million per year, a decrease of ~40%!!!!)
Without a reduction in the number of car manufacturers, this means that each car company must now produce around 40% less cars while also cutting workers and capital machinery the same amount... Unless they want to start increasing the price of their cars by 40%. EDIT: In my perfect world, GM will barely pull out if its current position and be able to produce the SS for another 3 or 4 years, leaving the aftermarket/GMPP to produce HP mods...

The General already has the answer for the 500KR.......Corvette ZO6........and the answer to the rest of the worlds exotic cars is the ZR1 the quickest production car to go around the Nuremberg Ring in Germany.

At this point I think out best bet would be to answer with a street legal warranty backed supercharger kit VS asking them to produce the Z/28 right now. Seems a little more practical and would require less investment.

Depends on the options you choose, but base on the '09 is about $43K. Base on the 2010 should be about $45 from what I have read.
