Wow, I am glad to hear a few having good luck with the stock clutch. Before I started modding my car an just a semi hard launch I could smell the stock one. I knew when started modding and racing there was no way to stay with it. One hard track day with the constant shifting up and down it would have toasted in a few laps. From what these guys are saying try the stock one if you have problems upgrade.

The stock clutch slips alot, people just don't notice it slipping 2-400rpm. We've got a few Z06 clutches here with less than 1k miles. They all slipped.

The ZR1 clutch is the balls. For less $$ we run Monster stage 3's and they hold up to 650rwhp no problem.

RAM dual disc with the RAM adjustable slave cylinder for correct air gap set up.
Holds the power drives like stock , I am really happy with it.

I just installed an ACT dual disk and it is nothing short of amazing. Pedal pressure is same as stock but feel is exponentially better. You really don't realize how bad the stock clutch feels and slips until you change it out. This is my sixth dual disk clutch in four years, including Exedy, a couple Textralias and a RAM and there really is no comparison, the ACT is far better. No noise, no chater and almost zero break-in.

526RWHP and stock clutch.
I've been on a road course, and had no problems yet.

Fidanza twin disc 9.6 went in mine. Great for about two thousand miles, now it's grabby and squeals a bit on engagement. I wouldn't recommend it...

I would use the ACT twin disc systems. Extremely street friendly. Smooth engagement, all USA made! Lots of great feedback so far and all starting at $999

They have 3 different pressure plates ranging from 28% to 55% more clamp load and pedal pressure. PLUS having 3 different friction discs to choose from makes it perfect from stock power to over 1100.

Check out the intro promo sale here:

DOn't forget the ACT has been SFI approved and has reduced MOI built into the billet steel flywheel.
