Chevrolet Camaro SSX
Yes I know the Camaro SSX has been out for a while now but I really haven't seen any actual vids of it racing or being driven.... Now that the Boss 302 is out I've seen a lot of vids of it & it just got me thinking what about the SSX?!?! I just found this one & it sounds NASTY!! Personally I still think GM is going to bring back the Z28 in a track/street car to compete with the Boss 302 again but that's just my opinion

The SSX wasn't intended for production but it may be a glimpse of a possible Z/28.

I could do without that ricer spoiler on the back, but I guess with that much power it may need the added downforce.

I believe the word on the street is that they are releasing the ZL1 in 2012 and at some point that year, Chevy will also release a potential Z28. Apparnatly it will be a souped up camaro with crazy stiff suspension (street racer like the Z28 of old) to compete with the 302 Boss. It is not know for sure if it will be given the Z28 badge...but my guess is that it will, espeically because of the ZL1 release........I probably should have waited to buy a camaro then :( |

I was actually there watching this in person. And I must say, its just as badass in person as it was on the internet. I couldnt believe it actually made an appearance at Camaros for Heros.

Well, if they are going to compete with the Boss 302, they better hurry up and get it on the market. The Boss is only going to be around for 2 years (at least that's the current position of Ford, IIRC). By the time GM delivers a Z28, if they deliver a Z28, it will have nothing to directly compete with.
