Question heritage griils

hi guys,i need some help you guys .my heritage grill came in today & i'm going to paint most of it except the bars itself .but i would love to see what it will look like .i went to diy thead & seen the red ss I would like to see a black ss with one.my car is a black 2ss with orange strips.i was thanking of putting a ss grill emblem from a 69 & the color from white to orange but after seening the one in the diy picture .i'll might use the one thats allready on it .if you got any pictures of anything diffrent please show them thanks

You would be smart to paint it or atleast clear coat it. Its molded in a plastic that is similar in color to cyber grey metallic. If the plastic is left untreated it could fade in spots.

alright sounds good. The only thing is is if I do that my as well paint the lower grill and back fascia as it all looks like its the same plastic

i didnt paint mine and it looks good, i didnt clear it or anything but im trying to figure out what to do about a custom paint job so chances are it will be painted in a few months or so

thanks those pics help. I really dont see the need to paint it. I mean looks good painted and the guy made a good point. But if the plastic goes it wont be the only plastic on the car to do. ANd I plan on saving the old grill

you black out the flashers as well? Did you do the install job yourself.

yep did it all myself, i used nighshades to black it out i did 2 light coats over just the blinkers and then one coat over the headlights and flashers, it was easy just took alittle time. getting that bumper off was kinda a pain in the ass, if you do do the install take off both front tires and take out the fender covers, i left the tires on and just took out the front half of the bolts holding on the fender covers and it was a PAIN!
