Another reason V6ers should leave alone stock wheels/breaks.... My stock spare will fit fine if needed.

Really need clarification from the vendor if the ZL1 kit wheel will fit over '10-'15 with Brembos ?
They do have a kit for the 2010-2015 ZL1. I'll send you a PM with the link.

I'm not sure that you'll find anyone with experience with this kit on a ZL1 because they are a newer company but if you have any problems with it they'll let you return it for free. So, you really have nothing to loose by trying it. If they are lying just return it.

How do you know? Did you buy the kit and install it on a ZL1?

They have a kit listed on their website for the 5th Gen Camaro ZL1. If it doesn't work you return it which costs them money so I don't why they would sell a kit for that car if it didn't work.

If you want the link PM me and I'll send it to you.

On long trips I just toss an extra front tire/wheel in the trunk. Tie it down
to the rear body panel eyelet with a $3.00 rubber strap from the auto store.

Yes the Camoro OEM V6 spare will fit over the SS Brembo Roller skates but an adapter is required.
Simple as 1, 2, 3 ...

1) Adapter with extra lug nuts

2) Install adapter on hub

3) Install spare on to the adapter

I've made a thread with the details here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=391084

I think this can be a great idea if you already have a v6 spare but if you didn't it would seem that it would be cheaper to just buy an aftermarket spare designed for the SS?

That spare kit looks amazing. I'm swapping my brakes out for Hawk PC's so the roller skates wouldn't be an issue for me anyways.

yeah I'm not sure why anyone would want to keep the roller skates anyways. There are better brake shoes out there without the roller skates.

No, tie it down with a real cargo strap that will hold the wheel in place in a collision.

Mine is held down with an 800 lb. test nylon web strap. A rubber strap? Are you kidding? Your spare will break free, knock down the rear seat, and kill you.

Bingo!

And, us V6'ers that have the stock 18" 10 spoke aluminum wheels are actually fortunate to have a pretty nice looking rim for a base wheel.

Since getting aftermarket gloss black wheel covers for mine (until I get mine powercoated), I've gotten a lot of compliments on them. They're lighter than the stock SS 20's and you have cheaper tire options as well.

Best of both worlds..... makes me happy.
