Camaro SS vs. 2009 WRX

Anyone care to speculate on how they would match up? I think it would be interesting:

09 WRX

0-60: 4.6
1/4: 13.5

Two very different cars.
Yes, the 0-60mph and 1/4 mile times are close. But the Camaro SS is significantly faster at higher speeds. Once you get up to about 80mph, the SS will pull away from the WRX like its sitting still.

WRX - 13.5 @ 102 mph
SS - 13.0 @ 111 mph

WRX (0-100 mph) - 12.9 sec
SS ( 0-100 mph ) - 10.5 sec

So you can see the difference.

BAM!

You can also take into account that at least 50% of the owners can't launch the car worth a CRAP! Just read their forums, they even admit it.

sti with more power does 0-60 in 4.8... what makes you think it would be done in 4.6 with the less powerfull variant of the same car?

Chceck out the C&D test, they got the numbers. For whatever reason the new WRX is faster than the Sti in a straight line.

i know its off topic but i would hate to get next to the new 370z or g37s. now those two cars will eat us. drag and track hands down. with less power. and yeah i agree the sti and evo both awd don't have crap on us on the freeway at 80mph

uhhhh..... what? 370z's are lower to mid 13 sec cars at 106mph at best---- i fail to see how that will eat a new ss.

no its not, you run em both stock in the real world and you'll see.

but for the sake of competition, the SS is the car id go with. The new subarus are weak all around.. maybe in the future.

the g37s is more comparable to the lt camaro than the SS....since motortrend only got a 5.4 second 0-60 and a 14 second quarter mile

SS > STi, Evo, G37(s), 370z in 0-anything.

Umm no.

The SS is much faster than any of those cars.

The SS traps at 111MPH in the 1/4, the closest one in your group is still 5MPH slower. Thats buslenghts in a race.
