Oil pressure

Ok so I have a newbie question I have never had a car like this before . So i have a 2 SS RS so i have the 4 guage pack and yesterday I was driving the car and I noticed that when I was taking off or anytime I press the gas the oil pressure on the gauge goes from like 25/30 to like 50 ish I'm guessing . I have never noticed this before is this normal? I I have only had my truck do this when it was low on oil so I checked the oil on the car and it looked ok. So my question again is this normal for this car ? Sorry for the newbe question thanks

Very normal.. Oil pressure fluctuates in a moving engine when the engine builds pressure.. No worries.. When it dips below normal levels and stays there that's time to worry..

Took my 12 in for the reason that the oil pres guage in the 4 pack lives buried right. The showed me the report from GM stating that that is OK. Now i'm on record if I ever have a High Pressure Problem

Yes, completely normal. GM oil pressure gauges and sending units have always driven me nuts. In other GM cars I've had, it's normal for them to just about peg out when they're cold. And when the engine's all warmed up-- in my 1990 Lumina, it would read about 1/8 the way off the red ZERO mark, and that was normal. We sold the car with 148k and never an engine problem, didn't even smoke.

Pressure is naturally lower at idle. As RPMs increase, so will the pressure.

Same thing happens to me. Its normal. I'll rather havr that fluctuate than the gas tank like i had on my 89 Camaro.

Just make sure that your oil pressure gauge does not always have a big fluctuation. The pressure should always stay tight within couple psi. It's normal if you give it gas from a complete stop and you see a big fluctuation, but once you hold the pedal steady the psi should also stay tight. I hope this made sense lol.
