Buy a slightly used 2010 from someone that's dumb enough or rich enough to buy one now and trade it in next year.

I already began to quietly campaign with my wife that when the Convertible comes out we should really consider it versus keeping her current Pontiac G6 GT Hard-top Convertible. Her first reaction was "Two Camaros in the garage?" to which I said why not if you'll like the new Camaro Convertible... Her response so far is "We'll see"...

In the meantime I'm keeping a Jada Camaro Convertible on her desk - subliminal message calling out "You'll want me, you'll want me..."

True, that would be tempting for me too. I want a convertible, but a cheap, almost new coupe with the biggest depreciation hit already taken by someone else? That sounds mighty tempting, especially if a lot of early adopters ditch their 2010s as soon as the Z and/or convertible come out.

I was already planning on having a V8 RS vert when I paid off my 2LT/RS. Now I think I'm being optomistic that I'll have a chance to buy a V8 in 5 years but either way I'll be getting a vert and if there is a V8 i'll be keeping my V6 for daily driving and using the V8 Vert as my fun/weekend warrior. Also the weekend warrior will be a manual transmission... I do miss rolling my own gears just not in stop and go traffic.

wow this is my 100th post... yeah me for not being a post whore! I joined in October and that averages to 11.111 posts per month.

I'd love the vert but the only picture I've seen with the top up looked like a wet pair of baggy pants. If they could make the top go with the rest of the styling then they will have a winner. The Z will have to be shaked out when and if they build it and right now the questions about it outnumber the facts.

You assume too much. It is too early to determine that the Z28 is coming out, even if it is being discussed in some powerful GM circles. If you really want a high-performance Camaro, you're better off getting a Camaro SS now and calling Hennessey or Lingenfelter than waiting until sometime in the next 2 years for your Z28 to come out. At that point, you will have waiting since 2003 for a new Camaro or since 2006 for the concept, and that's just ridiculous.

Very happy with our SS/RS, no plan to change, trade, etc.

Let someone else join the Camaro family.
