Guys - This is the BIGEST DRAG RACE EVENT of the season in all of Ontario!

22 Nitro cars will be there + a JET TRUCK that has to be seen to be believed!!!

Not to mention PRO MODS and other race vehicles!

You guys don't know what you missed !

Got to say Nitromethane drag cars & bikes at night is AWESOME !!!
& so was the 3 jet engine drag truck.
OMG! The shockwaves from the Top fuelers, & the heat from the 3 jet engine truck ! You had to be there to feel them
Awesome night at Grand Bend yesterday.

Even saw a IHRA world record run last night.
IIRC, a Lucas Oil-sponsored Top Fuel machine ran a 4.882 seconds, 306.74 mph.
(Has to be replicated Sunday to get the official record though.)

Mike McIntire's “McAttack” Camaro Pro Nostalgia Nitro Funny Car


The car went into the wall, but the driver is ok & managed to drive the car to the end of the 1/4 mile.

...The great final wrapped up a wild opening evening of Funny Car action as two separate incidents marred an otherwise smooth first round. The first incident involved nitro veteran Rick Krafft who was transported to a local medical center following a mechanical failure just after launch in the “Chicago Fire” Corvette, while the other involved Mike McIntire who slammed the wall in the “McAttack” Camaro a few hundred feet into his run, sending the car several feet in the air before slamming back to earth. McIntire was treated and released following the accident...

McIntire initially thought he was okay following a violent impact with the wall and declined transportation to a local hospital, but complained of back pains once the adrenaline wore off. His crew drove him to a Detroit-area hospital for evaluation last night.
