You will not have a powertrain warranty if you do this, just like any other aftermarket part.
Milk- GM already has warrantys for Superchargers on their cars that come stock with them. I am thinking that they will probably start putting them on some Camaro's as stock equipment soon. So it may not be to far out of the box to think it would not void the warranty?? Especially if they do not upgrade any drivetrain components when adding SC to future Camaro's. Should be interesting. We know GM monitors this site- if they want to get in this business, they should think how to proceed.

True, but the fact that this kit does not come with a tune is a good indicator that it will not be covered.

I work at a GM dealer. My parts manager called the "Performace" tech "professionals" at GM.They had very little info other than its a "race only" part with no warranty on the parts and will void vehicle warranty.Wish I could give you guys (and gals) more info.I too would love this piece on my LS3, but no warrant on the part itself? odd since every other part is covered 12/12.I hope this info changes!! they were available to order but could give no info on what parts come in the "kit" or if it was a Camaro kit at all.....think I'll wait.

I am a sales consultant for Schumacher Chevrolet in Little Falls, NJ. I am also checking into this for my LS3 Camaro. As I get more information I will post it. If the warranty stays intact we may build one for the dealership to sell.

congrats to the maro owners. This is a good looking piece, from the factory no less. Folks can make their own z28s. maybe a little motor work to really spin the thing.

Agreed.

But lets put this in perspective.

No FI Kit company gives you a powertrain warranty if you have any other mods or use a tune other than the one they provide.. My guess is 80% of the FI cars out there have a custom tune let alone CAI and LT's and exhaust...

So, it's not Like GM dropped the ball.

I guess you could make an argument that GM should give you some power train warranty if the LS9 blower and their tune were the ONLY mods done on the car....

But in reality how many blown cars are without any other mods...

I'm guessing, not many.

I don't care a LS3 is in no way the same as an LS9, First is the crank the LS9 is forged, LS3 not, Next is the Connecting Rods The LS9 has forged titanium on the LS3 its powdered metal (dos that not sound good).

Next we have forged 9.1.1 Pistons on the LS9 and on the LS3 we have Hypereutectic aluminum at 10.7.1, And one more thing the LS9 has that the LS3 dos not have is the oil squirters that add oil to the rods and underside of the Pistons, In order to add the oil the LS9 oil pump has more volume on the pressure section than the LS3 by about 20%.

This is a grate new part, but if you think you can get a warranty i have a bridge for sale for you too.
