Question oil catch can

OK so I got the RX catch can on my car. Seems RX aint got the best wrap right now and I can see first hand why. Is there oil in my can? Yes. Is there oil in my intake? F*%$ YES!!!!

I need and want a catch can the will not put one drop of oil into my intake! I mean NOT ONE DROP!!!!!
Does anyone make such a can? Im temped to double them up for added protection!

Did you ever remove your intake and clean it before you got the catch can? If not all that oil was there before the can.

Yes. I had the catch can installed when I first got the car. Then later down the line I got the ported IM it was all nice and clean when installed. I took the plate off the top and looks like I never had a catch can on it. and im sure the question will come up but the line are installed and I also have the breather on my oil cap as well.

I would get a different catch can. I know Rx claimed it catches 100% of the oil but they have other "claims" as well. I'll have to check my intake manifold the next time I get a chance.

The Elite can is working well for me.

Also remove the RX breather and get the 1LE Oil separator instead. It costs quite a bit more (~$115), but the airflow is extracted post MAF so it is metered properly.

If I was you I would look into the Apex can. I wish it came out when I was in the market for a catch can lol. I may have to switch to it because it looks gorgeous and I bet it works well.

Personally I don't think any can will stop 100% of the oil.

Did you remove the line stock return line on the clean side that feeds back to the air intake tube? If not that is the cause for the oil.

I'd recommend the Elite Engineering catch can. Maybe run it in conjunction with your RX can to stop 100%

Best regards,

This. There are two sides to the PCV system. Your catch can is installed on the "dirty side" which is responsible for about 95% of the problem. But the 5% or so on the "clean side" will still get in there if you do not do something about it. The 1LE separator is a popular option.
