When will Camaros arrive at the dealers?

My dealer said he will wait to do PDI inspection as soon as it gets to the dealership and will call me as soon as the carrier pulls in. We will do the paperwork that day and I can drive home if they can get the accessories on that quickly. He also promised to beat off anyone with a stick if they try and touch the car without me there. The May 6th date is for the V6 models and any others that may be on the showroom floor. I have actually made a new friend in my dealer. Yea I know business is business, but he is just as excited about the Camaro as I am and truly believes in GMs products. I am actually thinking about preordering the Volt for next year because my PT Cruiser won't make it another two. The Neon Chassis is sounding rough =)

I have spotters who text me constantly about the Camaro and will let me know if they see a carrier headed south on 95. I already had one false alarm. They saw an actual camaro driving south and I mistook it for a carrier. It is really amazing how many people already know the car is coming and are watching the roads. Wait until the rest see it on the road. It is going to be a madhouse.

I find it hard to believe that a company facing bankruptcy would be instructing dealers to not realize the sale of spoken-for cars.

I think some of you are getting customer orders confused with the dealer V6 showroom cars. There has been way too many conspiracy theories lately. Show me one piece of evidence that substantiates customers cars will be held. With auto sales in the toilet dealers want the money immediately. If they already get a V6 on the showroom there is no reason not to get money for the customer ordered cars. The only way they can get money is to sell them to the customer not hide in the shed out back.

The customs inspectors have to drive everyone one of them about a 100 miles to make sure they are legit camaros.

Also ther was some discussion about a hold up on quality controll. Wonder if this comes into play with the no new vins and orders stuck at their codes?

Not that anything said is concrete but I wanted to clear the air. When I spoke to GM they said as well as my financing is order my car will be in MY HANDS NO LATER THEN 4/23.

They are not waiting til 5/6 from what i've been told/read and I don't see why they would. The only thing that can come from these camaro sales is goodness so there is no point waiting.

My dealer was told to order a cover that he already received and a car is coming.Doesn't know what it is but GM said its going to be delivered before May 6.Small dealer with no showroom so cars are outside in his lot.
Told me my car his 1 allocation will be built in June , and that ONE IS MINE.I'M THE ONLY PRE ORDER

It's cool that you can find that even in your area. Probably your buying experiance is gonna be awesome cause yor more special for that dealer.

Probably will get better maint too. Make sure you schmooze the service mgr.

I think this is going to be the day. I know they said they will not hold cars until but I think they will start arriving on the 6th!

I think this is just plain wrong. We have been told by our District Rep to watch for our first two cars to be delivered around the 15th of this month. I don't know if that is true, but it's what we were told. There has been absolutely no communication to the dealers from GM on the Camaro shipping except that we should try to keep the V6 dealer stock car here to have it here for the reveal day on the 6th if possible. The idea of "hiding" them is just rediculous...sorry Paul...we want to show them off to everyone!!! It's an awesome car and we as dealers want to sell the heck out of them. Ours will be on the showroom floor within hours of it getting here!!
