Thinking about cancelling my order...

Hi everyone,

I've become a bit more impatient as of late. I looked around and found a good deal on a 07 CTS-V for 29k and only 25k miles. Since I have a 16 month old son I was thinking this may be a better plan.(I'm a single father) What do you guys think?

Personally if I "NEEDED" a back seat i'd get the caddy.....or a brand new G8

No back seat Camaro.

If the issue is money, get the cts. If the issue is patience, chill out. I'm only 24, but something about camaro does not scream family car

well if your problem is you cant wait then hang in there. But it sounds like a life decision and get a family car, a two door will be a pain. but if your talking a kid on the way, why get a family car and pay 30k for a caddy, get something cheaper. Or get a malibu or G8 new for 30k.

I think you need to think about it some more(no offense)You failed to mention what model Camaro you pre-ordered,SS or 1LT,2LT?A 16 month old kid will fit in the back in a car seat, whether it be a Camaro or a CTS

If i was in your situation,I'd still buy the Camaroand i wouldn't care what anybody thought about it either.Your the one paying for it.You gotta have some fun some time

Honestly, if I were you, I'd go for the Caddy or the G8 if you're set on something "sporty", but know you should be getting a sedan. They are great cars.
With the Camaro, you're going to be cursing your head off (which you DON'T want to do in front of your son), everytime you have to move the car seat. And next there's the booster seat.
Down the road if you still have the urge for the Camaro, you'll get one that you want.
Sometimes you just got to do the compromise thing and this is a pretty good compromise.
Good luck....

Yes I drove one today w the wife and our 4 month old in her car seat> I was surprised by how easy it was to put the car seat in and still have plenty of room in the passenger seat. We are in the same boat CTS is our other option but I think after the test drive today we decided! BTW thanks to Wes from Reliable Chevy in Springfield Mo.hes a member here and he treated us great! Thought it might be a problem to test drive one w the kid and shoving strollers in the trunk to really give the car a good testdrive and see if it will be practical (enough lol) and I believe we have a winner!

The camaro may help you just enough to not be a single dad anymore... so stick it out and you may get the girl and camaro.

Get the Camaro, but make sure it's an SS...with the Dems controlling the white house, and running GM, the tree huggers have a good chance at killing the V8 in the next year or so. If that happens, you've just made a great investment for your kid's future. Think of it as their mobile college fund.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I ordered a 1SS/RS, and am @3300 still waiting on a VIN. I haven't test driven either yet. I plan on taking the 07 CTS-V for a spin tomorrow(already spoke to the dealer) but I really do like the camaro. Price wise I would be spending around the same b/c I would want to upgrade the V's wheels(alloy ) So I'll see if my dealer will let me try out a V6 Camaro as well to atleast attempt both, but that may be unlikely. I ordered from sands chevy in surprise for who asked earlier
