Winter storage blues
It's almost that time for some of us in the snow belt to put our beloved Camaros away until the Spring.
My question is for the manual transmission owners who will be driving an auto vehicle during the winter months. This is the first time I've had this combination of cars, so: Is there a small relearning period when you finally get to hop back into your Camaro? Do you find yourself needing to get reacquainted with the grab point of the clutch and throttle response? Or do you just pick up where you left off like there was no "downtime"? Just curious.

Slight warm-up period if you're newer to a manual. If you're re-learning, it'll all come back to you much faster.

The worst part is stomping the auto's brake pedal as you're stopping thinking its the clutch.

I'm never going to buy a car to store it 5 months out of the year.

That's why I couldn't live in an area that snows.

Having been stationed in the PNW (Seattle area), I understand the need to store your car. Glad I'm back home in Texas!!! Was 82 here in Corpus today after the cool front pushed through last night.

My winter vehicle is manual trans as well and there's still a bit of a "learning curve" when I get my Camaro back out in the spring. Within the first trip, its back...... Same goes for getting the motorcycle back out. The shifting is no problem in the spring, its more getting used to leaning for the turns again, finding your balance. Also, after the first trip all is well again.
