That said, I will not be Camaroing Up for a year or three.

I have found a Chrysler Dealer that has several 2008 300C SRT8s on the lot, MSRP is around 48K and are discounted down to 35K !!!!!!!!

I will be driving one home in a couple of weeks!

As much as I love the 2010 Camaro lines, I am such a cheap bastard, that I just cannot get myself to pay sticker or above, when I can slide in for a 30% discount!!!

For $35,000, you can get one sweet 2SS Camaro.... It's easy to discount a car $13,000 when you start out overpricing it by $10,000.

Ok, I've read the thread. I have the same problem. I have lots of equipment from abandoned hobbies. Luckily, I don't have the problem with cars; I keep a car for a long time. My current DD is the exception to that. I leased it and have no intention of buying it at the end, despite the fact that I kinda like it. Once it's gone I may buy a beater of some sort or I may DD my 1980 Buick and use the saved purchase/insurance money to fix it up a bit.

For your purposes, if you think you might lose interest in the Camaro I'd say don't buy it. Of course you know about new car depreciation...that's totally not compatible with turning them over all the time, unless you have lots of money.

I'm going to have to wait some years and buy a beater Camaro once there are some beaters out there. I don't forsee myself being able to buy a new one or a decent used one for a long time...stupid economy...
