Don't beat your self up OP, accidents happen and none of us can predict or completely prevent it from happening to any of us, period. That said, it's just a car, they can be replaced easy enough, your ok, don't sweat it. I find that good things can and do happen from bad things, it's just not easy to see it yet. Give it time.

At least you didn't get hurt. I believe that when the frame is bent or air bags deploy because of an accident the car is totaled. Too much to fix it most of the time

That car will not feel the same to the same driver after repairs are complete. You can get it within factory specs, but you will notice a difference in the way it drives.

Winter tires keep getting better and better every year. They make a huge difference.
Agree with you 100%. I have my factory set of PZeros of course, and a set of Scorpion Snow/Ice tires. Same size mounted on the same wheels -- night and day. I was shocked at the difference and swear by them now when it gets below 40F (what the PZeros are rated for). I was amazed at what a great winter car the Camaro can be in the snow with the right tire. Different compounds that are more/less pliable at different temperatures, different tread patterns, etc... it all matters.

So sorry about your beloved Camaro. As you have already heard a lot of guidance, I won't add to that discussion except to say that my Camaro came stock with all seasons & they drove great in snow but as others have said, nothing save chains/studded tires helps much in ice though I'd still rather have all season or snow tires than performance tires if I had to go out in any winter conditions.

I'm really glad no one was hurt seriously & hope you will get yours repaired or replaced ASAP.

+1 Those are good tires. Conti DWS are another good option.

OP, sorry you have to be in such a shitty situation. I feel for you man. I actually took my car out last night with the stock tires still on. It was a nice day yesterday, so for those wondering why he took it out, that's probably why. It was almost 50* yesterday in NYC/L.I. Today sucks though. Good luck, OP.
