The 1 SS or 2 SS can be determined by the color of the fin be either flat black (1SS) and the roof ditch molding or body colored fin and roof ditch molding (2SS)

I think that is only true for 2012 models forward. The fin was black regardless in years past. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Wait til you pay your current one off, and by the time you do, there will be a newer one with the same miles for the same price.

The fin matching the body color is part of the RS package

No. Body colored roof ditches are part of the RS package. Not sure about the antenna fin, but mine is body-colored and it's a 1SS.

Not in 2010. Just the roof moldings are body color. Fin is black.

Speaking of the fin... does anyone else think it pretty much sucks as an antenna? My Sirius/XM cuts out going under trees, parked next to buildings, etc. No such problems in my Ram truck.

If you're upside down at least keep paying till you aren't....I'm not sure how you could get upside down on one of these though, mine is financed for 4 years, 3.5 left, and I'm already right side up if I were to trade it in.

There are tons of Camaro's for sale. I always use cargurus . You can pretty much select what you want. Good luck in purchase.

No way I would do it unless I was not in the hole. Sure it's a V8 but I can live with out it, what strikes me is that you said things will be a little tighter to me that is the BIG warning sign you DO NOT need to buy this car. What happens if you or your wife lost your job then what? If you can survive on your V6 payment with out a job but you cannot with a V8 you do not need it move on and just enjoy what you have.

you would be amazed how much you can trim your budget, throw out the cell phone , cut back the cable stations , throw out the smokes, cut back on the beer, brown bag your lunches, stop playing fantasy football, don't eat out as much leftovers are money savers. that's just off the top of my head but only you can decide if it's worth driving a camaro, and then what will you do in the winter these aren't the best in the snow living in tn, I would think you get plenty of snow

Only you know your situation OP but I agree with the majority here. If you are upside down on your current loan, i wouldn't make it worse. Especially if it is gonna make other things tighter for you and your family. A car is no fun if you cant afford to go out and do things in it bc it is sucking down most of your monthly income.
