Well, I finally got to make some passes today at the track and I think I did ok for the first time I have ever raced a manual tranny car. 60 + degree air. Track prep not the best. My best run was a 13.12 @ 110 mph with a 2.07 60'. Next best was a 13.18 @ 111 mph with a 2.13 60'. This was all on the stock tires and a head wind. I am pretty happy with the 7 passes I made today. Still need to practice the launch technique....LOL spinning in 2nd gear too. Some wheel hop (1st and 2nd gear) on a few runs but overall not to bad. Can't wait to slap some drag radials on her and give it another shot! Any idea what I might run with the Drag radials?

WOW! Those were my exact times my first time out but my mph was 112.

MPH seems a bit low for the HP. I'm trapping 111 w/ 374 rwhp. Good runs though, drop that 60' and you will be amazed with the E.T.

Thanks Guys! There was a head wind, I'm not sure how much of a factor that played but it probably didn't help. I spun almost every time into 2nd gear so that kept me down a bit too. I would think that with better traction the ET will come down for sure but I should pick up 1-2 mph also. I was crossing the stripe right at redline. There was a '10 auto trans SS that has run 12.92 at 108 mph running also, but he couldn't break a 13.00 this time out.

First time racing, he could just have slow shifting hurting the MPH a bit but good job man...not bad for your first runs.

Watch that wheel hop! It will tear the car up. Get out if the gas as soon as it happens.

Yeah I got a little wheel hop here and there, I ordered a set of Spohn trailing arms to start off with fixing that problem. I definitely need to address the suspension.

I run at Kansas International Dragway (KID) in Wichita, only about 10 mins from the house! May try and run again at test and tune this Sat. 19th if I don't have to work and my Spohn trailing arms get here this week.

I am planning on being at KID for the true streetcar shootout. It sounds like fun. Sounds like some fast cars will be there, should be fun to watch.

I plan on running in that race, not sure what class yet. I need to get my traction issues resolved first.
