ZL1 Sway Bars on a 2013 SS?

Just curious is anyone can give me some info on the ZL1 sway bar size v. the stock 2013 SS setup.

I'm thinking about upgrading as its doesn't seem to be too expensive. If Im not mistaken I'll need new end links as well?

Can anyone confirm this and advise on anything else that may be needed? Im not seeing much about the 2013s but I know there were changes made from previous years.

Being that you have a 2010, you will need to upgrade your rear lower control arms to the 2012+ design was well as upgrading all 4 end links.

If you are going through all that trouble, I would recommend going with the Pfadt ZL Spec sway bars. They have 3 settings on both the front and rear bars, to custom tune them to your driving style and driving selection. We also have packages available that include everything you need to take any guess work out of it.

Please feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions or pricing.

Best regards,

Tyler

Sorry, I missed that in the OP! Well in that case, all you would need is the sway bars, bushings, clamps and the front endlinks for the ZL1 bars. I still recommend the Pfadt ZL spec sway bars. They are an incredible setup!

If you have a staggered wheel setup it would be a cheap upgrade. If you run a square wheel setup then I would go with the 1LE bars. Pedderd, Pfadt and LSR have the newer bars out that would improve beyond that if you have cash to blow.

What has been said. Stagger go with the 25mm/28/mm ZL1 bars, square wheel setup if done better to use the 1LE bars that are 27/28. Bars come with the mount bracket/bushing attached, just need larger ZL1/ILE front end links.I have a 2012 and have the Pfadt ZL1 spec bars from JDP and they are very good.
Oh yeah, your ss bars are 24mm front and 25mm back

No doubt the aftermarket stuff is fantastic but I'm not sure I want to drop that much cash...mostly just looking for a step or two above stock. (Plus I've already lowered the car which is an improvement as well)

I thought I had read something about getting new bolts as well because the stock ones can't be reused after they come out? Can anyone confirm this? (Had that exact issue with a car years ago)

You're thinking of caliper mounting bolts probably. No such issue with the sways, they're not torque to yield.

Front Sway End Link (SS, ZL1, 1LE) (passenger side) - 22842515
Front Sway End Link (SS, ZL1, 1LE) (driver side) - 22842516

Parts lists are showing the same # for 2012 - 13 FE4 FE5 and FE6 suspension parts

show the numbers to me if they are listed differently for you ... I am rather curious.

Good way to go. Probably run you $250 for everything. I would have also but didnt know which wheel set up I was going with and wanted adjustability for auto x should I need it.

would you have to order end links with the 1le bars or can they be installed with the stock links? (2012 ss)

Why the difference if you are going to stagger your wheels? I have a 1LT Was able to score ZL1 bars off of eBay I also have ordered ZL1 wheels. And going to stagger front and rear. Also what are square wheels? Sorry for the thread hijack.

Old thread here, but your good as zl1 wheels are staggered so the zl1 bars are setup for that. Square setup means all wheels and tires are the same size.
