If you look around these threads not a whole lot of people that are willing to throw down 55k for a camaro.
So ok..let's continue this speculation game. With some deductive reasoning of course. The z will have a couple things a nodded as won't. 1st r&d from a professional team of engineers and designers. 2 a warranty that is better then most (lingenfelter, berger, calloway..etc).

. Would you rather have Joe schmoe throw a car together that can perform at or above the theoretical z28 but breaks every other week. Or would you rather have a reliable warranted car that only breaks if you truly abuse it?

You make some decent points but....

The Z28 wasn't out in late 2009 when I bought my car.

Breaks every other week -- HA HA. I have 13,000 miles on my car and no problems yet. I also take it to the road track and abuse it twice a month.

Although Lingenfelter's warranty may not be as good as GM's, it is still damn good and I at least have some piece of mind.

I could never spend 50k on a new car -- so spending 36k plus 12k plus another 12k over time was the only way I could do it.

I would never get rid of my LPE Camaro for a Z28.....now if I did have a Z28, it would eventually be an LPE Z28.

Think thats how a lot of people are going to feel an play it. We can spend 31-34 on an SS spend 8-10 to make it just as fast, then another 10 later IF we have to. Also give it a year or so most of us will be able to find used chargers and new ones will go down in price as well. I wouldnt be so sure the GM warranty is going to be as awesome once they slap a charger on there. I dont think anybody is debating that the car is going to be cool, but 50+ is hard to swallow for somebody.
