I did hire some one that can help in lots of ways, he knows how to run parts house receiving and shipping parts, car parts, and he knows how to run the new programer he worked for the dealer we get all the parts from.
This is good news. This is a mod I'm most interested in, so I hope you get the time to work your magic. BTW sorry if I came off as an asshole. Patience isn't something I have.

What would be really nice Ofer, is to have some idea of when to expect progress. I think that's what frustrates people. At the end of January, the expectation was a month.

If you tell us that realistically, with your current schedule, it will be late summer until a complete solution is ready - that's fine. It's just easier to come back to this thread with some kind of idea on timeframe.

You guys are ridiculous. He works on this stuff in his free time, and doesn't have to do it at all. Give him a break, he'll get to it when he has time.

how about just a "be patient.. and Standy, it will be done when Ofer gets time.."

I got to go with a few others here.. If you want it so badly and want a time table, go spend the thousands out of your pocket that Ofer has and take time for your job (which Ofer is self employeed and when you are self employeed if you are not making money you are spending it.. he doesnt get paid vacation, he doesnt get sick days..) and do the research to make sure everything works just right........

then just DYI. DO IT YOURSELF....

This type of thing you can't really give definite release dates until it has been completed. Sure he may have said over the next 30 days but I'm sure he found out in those 30 days it turned out to be more complicated than expected etc.

I'm grateful he is attempting it as its something I want to add to my 2011 however I fear if anything has to be programmed by a dealer that I'll not be able to get this done.

I also have to wait until someone brave with a 2011 will create a DIY based of Ofer's 2010.

so my new guy started and freed me up some, next week we will update the Gen5 web site to have more and more of the work i do moved to the new guy, on the good part we started looking to find where to buy some of the new connecters needed.

here is the only thing that i am not 100% on, in all 2013 LS cars they changed the 2 connecter for the consul, as some of you know there is no way to add a 4 pack gauges, and that is a part that is on the low speed bus, so GM may have a new way to keep the BCM from turning on.

What gives anyone the right to be frustrated with progress of someone figuring something out without any pay? After he offers it as an actual setup you can buy from him, then you can be frustrated if he takes your money and doesn't deliver...which he won't do.

I am not trying to troll or anything or any disrespect to anyone, but he will be paid. We will be buying kits from him. Parts, etc. The community will make sure he is well taken care of. However people lose faith in giving up money when we do not hear anything.
