So Motor Trend has said the M4 GTS ran a 1.37.66 at Laguna Seca and the 1LE ran basically the same time. The GT350R was 1.6 seconds faster.

Got to be impressed! 5Gen Z/28 still best the GT350R. Grand Sport best the 911 GT3 by 3.3 seconds and virtually ties with the GT3 RS 2:47.1 2:47.0.

Impressive results from the 1LE and Grand Sport. I would love to see another Z/28 vs GT350R Head 2 Head on Laguna Seca or VIR. Chuckwalla was a strange choice of track.

I'm waiting to read the actual article from C&D, not a picture taken of the pages.

A couple of observations

The Z/28 remains pretty awesome

The 1LE is good, but the Stingray remains a second faster

On a different note the SS is suffering through intermittent power steering failure, passenger seat air bag switching on and off, and mylink hanging up. All electrical and all intermittent meaning the dealer won't find anything. Really love this car but all 3 of those are safety issues (mylink lockup also eliminates back up camera functionality.
