Turbo kit for v6 Camaros
I am thinking of opting for a 2LT/RS and adding this turbo kit instead of buying the 2SS/RS. My thinking is that I will get better overall mileage and insurance rates, but I will have all of then performance of the V8. Maybe even a little more. Any thoughts?

Sounds good man, how much does the kit run? Im thinking of doing some mods in the future, you'd have one hell of a sleeper.

Head on over to the V6 FI section...you will find lots and lots of information there and couple companies developing twin turbo V6 cars if that would also interest you, although the single produces plenty of power. Its just that some prefer the way the twin is setup and layed out over the STS single.
If you haven't read any of the V6 FI stuff yet, I'll try and sum it up for you very quickly. Tuning options for the V6 are almost zero, except for once company....Trifecta. So since tuning the V6 has been a slow process doing FI for the V6 has also been a slow process. But things have been progressing nicely and they are now starting to have success running high boost levels than previously. Not forsure just yet what the twins will bring, but the STS kits are getting HP numbers higher than the stock SS, and the more the tuning gets figured out the higher that will go. There have been other issues to work out as well, but there are a few members here that have most of the kinks worked out. If you decide you are set on the STS kit, check out Unrestricted Motorsports as they have been advertising that they are currently offering a price well below MSRP for the kit. Of course in time you will probably want better tire, suspension, and brake changes to get all that power to the ground properly. Hope this helps.

Your logic is correct. You will lose your warranty with this kit, so you may want to keep a good savings account to make sure that you are covered if anything does go wrong down the line. This is a great V6 platform. I'm confident that you will be very happy with your LT.
