Put our dealership down as one of the good guys!! never ever have we sold anything over MSRP. Normally we sell everthing at or under invoice.

We have a 2009 Corvette Z06 (black on black) that has an MSRP of over $84,000 for $73,990. Anybody interested??

Here is their response to my inquiry:

Quote:
Dear XXX,

Good morning and thank you for your interest in the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro! Having read your note, we have answers to your questions. Hopefully, we can work to provide your new Camaro! Please review:

You asked: Will the vehicle be marked up or do you sell at MSRP or below?

We are selling the all new Camaro at MSRP. It has been very competitively priced and, even with the demand, we do not see a value in marking up the vehicle.

Your question: Do you have a waiting list for the 2010 Camaro and are you taking orders?

We have a waiting list and are placing orders from that list in a first come, first serve fashion. We have about half of our list into the factory for production, so things appear to be moving along well.

You asked: Is there a deposit required and is it refundable if the vehicle is not as expected?

We require a $1,000.00 deposit and, as we have you order the Camaro you want to your specs., do not see that it would arrive equipped otherwise, so the deposit is non refundable. We do review the specs. again when your order is pulled to make sure we have everything correct.

And, you asked: Does the deposit hold whatever vehicle arrives on the lot? Or does it guarantee the ability to order to my own specifications? (I personally wish to order my Camaro.)

As noted above, you get to "build" your Camaro the way you want it!

Lastly, we would look at your trade now to get an idea of value. When your Camaro arrives, we will again appraise your trade to assess any changes due to mileage, condition, or market. You could also work to sell your trade while your Camaro is being built if you wish!

We invite your call to discuss further and will do all we can to make your Camaro purchase a great experience!

Best regards,
Bob Swick and Rose Danner

I would be happy to answer all your questions. If you could call me I will be happy to speak with you a length on all policies.

But I few quick answers...
Yes we are taking orders.
Your deposit secures your order to your specifications.
You would have to define "not as expected"
We are not the type of dealership to keep someones deposit, but we will also not make other people in line wait because someone put 5 deposits at 5 different dealers just to see who gets it first.
I will sell the vehicle at MSRP.

Please call me.

Be aware that at this point the hurst shifter is an option but it is not in the production line yet. So any car ordered with this option will be delayed until at least late in the summer.

Kelle Chevrolet NOT AT MSRP OR BELOW

I know that Kelle Chevrolet in Farmingdale, NJ was listed as a dealer that would sell at MSRP or below. Maybe this post should be in the PRICE GOUGING DEALERS thread, but I figured since they're already in this thread I'll update their status. I sent them an e-mail and this is the response I got:

Quote:
My name is John VanBrunt and I am the certified internet sales manager here at Kelle Chevrolet.

Thank you for your inquiry on a Camaro. Our allotment of 2 vehicles has been filled with two sold and committed orders however I understand that we have earned 2 additional vehicles that are base Camaros and are scheduled for shipping within a 2 month time frame. Since they are going to be filled stock orders you cannot specify your vehicles options but may be interested in one of these vehicles. After these two orders and 2 stock vehicles are sold and delivered we will be able to fill specific orders for our customers but that may not be until early summer 2009. Yes these vehicles are going to be marked with a minimum of $1000.00 over MSRP. Yes a deposit would be required to lock in one of these vehicles or to place the special order if you wanted to wait for the later time frame. Your deposit on a specific order or to hold one of the inbound vehicles would hold that vehicle until it arrives and you OK the order for delivery which would have to be done in a t! imely manner. Your trade could be apprased for its current value but its actual value would be determined at the time of delivery of your new vehicle. Obviously if it is a few weeks the value would stay the same but if there is a larger time spread the value of vehicles only goes down as time goes by. Please advise me by email or phone with any other questions or concerns. Hope to hear from you soon.

Here at Kelle Chevrolet, we want to make your vehicle shopping experience as easy as possible, no matter where you are in the process. We are also committed to you well beyond your initial purchase.

If you need additional information or have any questions please feel free to contact me by email or, if you prefer, telephone me here at the dealership at (732)938-7571. Of course you are always welcome to stop by and visit us at the dealership, our sales showroom is open;

Monday to Thursday

9:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Friday

9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Sunday

CLOSED

Thanks again for the opportunity to serve you and your interest in the great products of Kelle Chevrolet!

Best wishes,

John VanBrunt

Here is their response to my inquiry:

You ask very good questions. We are now excepting orders on the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. While other dealers feel justified at charging OVER MSRP, we are currently letting them go for MSRP!! You are correct, we would appraise your Caddy, order your car. Yes, you can continue to drive your Caddy until your new Camaro arrives. It is best to stop by for a professional price and product consultation. Would you like to schedule an appointment?

To our valued Wigder Chevrolet Internet Friends.

AS OF April 13, 2009 we continue to wait for our first Camaro to arrive. Chevrolet division has promised at least "1" by May 6, 2009 as this is the official "Launch Date" We hope to have it earlier and will continue to keep you updated....

Muller Chevrolet Stewartsville, NJ

Here is their response to my inquiry:

Quote:
Thank you for your inquiry. I'll do my best to answer your questions.

1. We are selling the 2010 Camaro at MSRP. 2. We do have existing orders, yet believe that a new order could be filled before the end of the summer. 3. A $500 deposit is required, and would be refundable if we were unable to fulfill our obligation. 4. Your deposit is relative to the vehicle that you order. You can order the Camaro to your specifications. It is not likely that there will be unsold units available. 5. We would put a current value on your Cadillac, yet it would be subject to re-appraisal when your Camaro comes in. That's a matter of timing.

I hope that this helps. Again, if you would like to pursue the matter, I suggest that you make an appointment to meet with us to work out the details. If it all makes sense, you can order your new car. Please let me know what you think.

Sincerely,

Bill Ripka

Hello and thank you for contacting Konner Chevrolet. My name is Jarett Konner. I apologize it took me so long to respond to your email. The price is a little below MSRP. We are taking orders we do not have a waiting list. A small deposit is required and is fully refundable. You will get the car that you ordered to your spefications. We can appraise your Cadillac now but if you put a lot of miles on it after the appraisal we would have to reappraise your trade with the new mileage. Right now they are only taking orders for the 2SS package but they will begin taking orders for other models shortly however, I do not have a timetable yet. If you have any questions feel free to email me at jkonner@konnerchevrolet.com or call me at (973) 226-6666. Thank you and have a nice day.
