I do bought from Billet tech in Florida. Installed on passenger side front of engine. Made a threaded rod that screws in under the belt tensioner. Vented both the valve cover and the valley pan port which is just below the throttle body. Will look for a pic.

No catch cans are used to allow the engines to breath fresh air as well. They work by separating oil and air. LS engines are famous for breathing oil back into the intake track. Take off your intake induction hose and look inside the throttle body. Full of oil if you run the car. This can cause poor performance. By adding a catch can you are cleaning the air the car breaths out. Factory cars are made to breath from the intake track.

Does the V6 engine needs the catch can?

Oil Catch cans vary in prices. i have seen them for $50 up to $170
The elite Engineering Catch can is marketed towards Vette's so as expected the cost will be higher
adding a catch can to any LSx engine will not hurt and help you out in the long run

Based on my experience with road course racing any car that is driven hard needs a catch can. Remember these cars are designed and built to meet strict emission's in many states. A car can not breath these oil fumes into the air from the factory. They must be sent back through the process and reburnt. My car is turbo charged so that increase's my crank case pressures alot and needs to be vented better than stock. I have also found that GM engineers designed these engines to be positive crank pressure all the time. But a friend on a very very popular corvette team advised me which ports to vent on these motors. Car revs quicker now thanks to the venting of the lower crank pressure.

I would be glad to explain to anyone how to do this process.
