magnaflow 10791 X-pipe VS. stock H

I have LT's and no cats with stock cat back. Pretty much grown tired of the nasty sound in normal driving, love it at WOT. Anyone have experiance with putting in the 10791 X-pipe? On 5.0 mustangs I always install X-pipes because H pipes sound terrible.

it sounds awesome... I had the magnaflow 10791 on my last setup that was mufflerless without the headers and it sounded great...

when I went to the headers, I wanted mufflers but because i'd already cut the stock exhaust once, just decided to start all over with exhaust and got from the headers to tips from Doug Thorley... the x-pipe in his catback is identical to the magnaflow 10791, if its not it, it looks just like it

I have one as well. It changed the pitch on my stock exhaust a little but nothing massively drastic. I'm running LT's with no cats now so I have no before and after comments with them. If you absolutely hate the sound of your current exhaust setup, I highly doubt switching to a X pipe is going to satisfy you.

You'd be suprised. When I installed BBK LT's on my 5.0 coupe I used the BBK H-pipe and it was the worse sounding 5.0 I've ever heard. I bought a dr. gas X-pipe kit and after installing it I think its the best 5.0 I've ever heard, people aproach me all the time to tell me. So, hows yours sound with stock mufflers?

I'm not running stock mufflers anymore either. I switched to Dynomax VT's. HIGHLY recommend them if you don't like sounding like a NASCAR at idle and cruise. When the valve fully opens at 4k rpm, all hell breaks loose.
