Question questions about catback exhaust

Ok everyone please bear with me.....I don't really know anything about catback exhaust. How many of you guys are having it added to your camaro? What things does the catback exhaust do for your car?....a louder growl?

Also, if I was wanting the gm catback exhaust...is this something I should already have on my pre-order or is it something the dealer puts on that I can add later?

Thanks in advance...i'm a newbie and this is my first sports car.....

I'll be adding aftermarket eventually.

It is pretty much just for sound. Most claim hp gains but it's minimal...like 5hp or so if you're lucky

It's a dealer installed accessory that is a seperate item so you can order it from the parts counter and have the dealer install it anytime

It will be louder for sure, also less restrictive mufflers and probably bigger piping for less restriction to make more power.

It is added on by the dealer and costs $850 American

It also doesn't void your warranty if it's from GMPP

^^ What? It has 2 mufflers stock, and in the pic of the item there are 2 mufflers, so I assume everything will be ok.

it may give u a slight hp increase, it will also eliminate the ugle mufflers that are exposed under the back of the car stock, and give u a more aggressive growl, worth the money imho as long as it is gmpp

Good to know Borla will be making it, and it's basically mufflers and tips only.
Pics here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9318 There are better pics somewhere, but can't find them right now.
