Vehicle Locator Lights...?

Just curious if anybody had experienced this.

When it's dark outside and you unlock your Camaro with the transmitter,
the vehicle locator lights automatically turn on. Basically all the lights... (Xenon lamps, Halo rings, Taillamps, Sidemarker Lamps etc...)

It seemed to work very well every time when I unlocked the car when it was dark outside. Recently, if I unlock the car only the signal lamps flash and no Xenon lamps... no nothing.

Of course, I have checked the vehicle personalization and it is set as vehicle locator lights "on".

The funny thing is that if I press the lock button twice and then unlock the car, vehicle locator lights work. Or even if I press the lock button once and hit the unlock button right away it works.
It only doesn't work when I hit the lock button once and unlock the car after 2-3 hours.

It's not big of a deal but am I missing something?
Or is it just me that do not know how to manage the vehicle locator lights properly? Please help me out.

obvious question... is it dark out? the lights only come on if it is dark. You made mention that they used to work fine when it was dark but now they dont... I can only assume you mean when its dark.

Mine does this too. Sometimes the lights come on with one push of the unlock button and sometimes it takes a couple pushes, even a re-lock and unlock.

just a thought, could it possibly be that you are locking the car when its light out and the car remembers that. then when u unlock at night it thinks that its still light out? i know ive read some things about the car "remembering" certain settings when the car is shut off. maybe this is one of them!

Rule 1. If you're trying to impress a lady friend, they won't work.
Rule 2. If no one else is around, things will work fine.
Was anybody with you when they worked????

Yeah mine to. Not sure what it is to trigger them or not. I know my CTS would always light up at night. The Camaro. Whenever it damn well wants to. I'm not tellin him to. He scares me.
