Cam Quote

Okay I got a quote from a shop here in so cal. Im not going to say who but they are big on the corvette forums. Any way my question is simple, does this quote sound right ? too high or too low? this is from an email they sent:
"cam is $399 that is speced grind for a ls3
springs $255
pushrods $110
labor $650
tune $450
total 1840+tax"
I asked for the specs and they sent this:
"the specs are a 224-234 on 114+2 .585-595 lift, it relatively mild, has a slight lobe, we could go a little larger but not too much larger do to the fact that piston to valve clearance is relatively tight on ls3 engines"
Give me your opinions

that sounds decent for all that, only $650 for labor and it's a time consuming job. Please PM me the local shop, I am in socal as well and am starting to look around to have some work done but I will be getting a L99

I like that price. I've got a great dealer, but their shop quoted me $3000+ to install a GMPP hotcam. They quoted 20+ manhours at $99/hr. It don't take that long. Your deal looks pretty good if they warranty their work.

Any good shop should be able to do a cam and valve spring swap in under 8 hours on these cars .... Most can do it quicker than that. So yeah your labor and parts look within reason.

I paid ~900 for the install and tune that included installing 921 dual springs and pushrods.
