Thanks, I will give him a call. I was going to wait to see if by chance the emails like I have seen Camaro5 send for other members might make them reconsider. But will definitely not pay it, and will give Joe a note to see what he can do for me.

Thank you!!!

To the OP,

From what I understand (being in the business and all) autonation as a company told all of their dealers that they are not allowed to retail these things for more than MSRP. Your best bet would be to look up the corporate number to autonation and try to work it out with them. The dealer would probably get in trouble too.

I went to the general website but didn't see any way to contact them other than getting with their individual dealerships. I will have to look at it better on the internet, but when I do get with them I will update...

Send a message via Yahoo to CamaroScotty
Eric Hall at Classic / Grapevine can hook you up at SEVERAL of their dealerships....which ever has the shortest line.....He would be the guy I'd contact if I lived in your area. He also has full computer access, and can check orders for his customers.....and he is pro-active in doing so.

I could order too, but I have a long list...and we both honor the GM discounts.

Sorry to hear yet another customer winds up disappointed with the whole experience...If I had 300 more spots, I'm sure 300 people would have drove away happy!

price gouge

I to used the same dealer. They marked up the price $5000.00 and would not drop the price. Rick Lester called me childish for not signing extend warranty and I got up and walked out. They are not costumer friendly. I would not recommend Champion Chevrolet @Hwy 45 south to no one.

To the OP: File a small claims lawsuit. You don't need to hire a lawyer. You could get a lot of money out of it. If they agreed to sell it to you for $X, and they turned around and sold it someone else for $X+Y, you could win $Y out of the lawsuit.

For example, if they agreed to sell it to you for $35k, and then sold it to someone else for $40k, you could win $5k in small claim lawsuit. (The limit for small claims depends on the state.)
