I had to change my alignment/tire pressures when I went from Goodyears to Rs3v2 which are a little quicker, but I prefer the feel of the Goodyears.
I am waiting to see when the Goodyear Supercar 3 that will be on the 2017 1LE comes out. The new 1LE almost matched Z28 times at Laguna Seca, I assume some of that extra speed is from the Supercar 3 tires.
Thanks for the input. I think I'll just stay stock for now then. I don't want to change the feel of the car just yet. I still have way more than one second to gain by driving better before I need a tire change. If I loose that great on center feel it may take some of the confidence away to push the car harder at my level.
Are you thinking of ugrading to the new 1LE? I'm going to give it a year to get some real world feedback but the thought is definitely in my mind.

I am with you, I will wait a year or so, but it won't be easy once they show up and kick my butt

This is good news for sure. Though I have 4 1/2 sets of GY's in the basement to destroy first, I like this option. My son runs them on his Civic SI in autocross and is 1-1.5 seconds faster on them then the Dunlops he normally runs. They do have that wear out fast look to them though.
With 3 sets of 20" wheels more options are better for sure.

You don't HAVE to wear out all the Goodyears first. If you're in a hurry to try the Potenza's I could be persuaded to buy at least 1 set of GY from you

Nice of you to offer. I really like the GY's which is why I have so many. For me they work on both the road course and the autocross. Once you find the limit you can really use them to that point. I'm in no hurry, but if I find them at a good deal I may make the leap.

$310 each when I looked at them. Only like $100 more for a set of 71r's compared to R-S3's

For a needed 200 min TW tire, I was waiting on the 295 20s x 4 that I had heard was supposed to be available in Aug.
Was I misinformed and they're only going to be 285?

Spoke with some locals running them in 18s for Autocross- said they were by far better than the orher major players in that size. Felt they were more in the 150TW range - closest dot tire to the Hoosier slicks they also compete in.

Those sizes were listed initially, looks like just 285/35/20 and 305//30/19 (due 8/21/16) for now. Tirerack said Bridgestone is way behind on orders and trying to catch up. There is lots of demand for these tires, upcoming SCCA Solo Nationals has over 1300 entries signed up, with all the street and street touring classes dominated by Re71r's.

No 295s, yet... but these came last week. We'll see how they compare to R888 for autox. Couldn't wait for A-7s in 285/35R20... IF Hoosier makes them.

I agree 100% there's so much feedback from the GY's at the limit. I really like them. I figured you wren't selling since you were stockpiling
