I'm having too much fun with this stuff. Did my front bowtie, Camaro emblems on both sides, my license plate frame and the chrome part on the bottom of the tail lights.

The side emblem is clean, how did you do that? Spray on, once cured use a toothpick i am guessing.

Yes, I put about an inch of PlastiDip all the way around the logo. I found that 6 coats seemed to work best for me. Then I gently peeled it off after letting the last coat dry for about 15 minutes. It came off clean around the letters. Then I used a toothpick to pick out from inside the letters.

Here's a picture of the first side I did. The second side came out a lot cleaner. Be sure to peel it off carefully and at a 45 degree angle back on itself to get the clean line.

I suggest going to dipyourcar.com as they have suggestions there. I believe for our cars they recommend 3-4 gallons? Double check on the website. If you build one of their car kits, it'll ask you to choose the style car you have and it'll set everything for you. The gallons cost differently depending on the color so depending on what you do, you could save money by doing 1-2 gallons of black as a base then going over it with the color you want (this works for dark colors) if you go bright like a yellow or something, they recommend white or a grey base I believe. Just go to the website above and check it out, it'll walk you through everything. They also have hundreds of YouTube videos.

I've actually been binge watching their YouTube videos haha! I sent them an email yesterday and they recommended three gallons of gunmetal base then two gallons of aluminum topcoat but I'm not sure if that sounds like too much.

Looks great. Was that just black plastidip or did you use the smoke one? Also, can we see a pic with the lights lit?

http://www.rustoleum.com/product-cat...eelable-primer

I noticed this product at Home Depot. Anyone ever use it? It claims to be a Peelable primer that you can paint over with any other paint.
