Anyone considering any external mods?
What kind of wheels are people looking at?
Anyone thinking about other mods? chin spoiler? hood scoop? god forbid, a spoiler on the back? (pics Attached for visualization) personally im looking at some BBS Wheels and a fatty carbon fiber chin spoiler, like the pic except larger and wider. and maybe some sort of rear diffuser

I'll personalize it slightly, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do exactly. Probably a pair of fuzzy dice for a gag mod though =)

I'll be ordering mine with the idea of autocrossing it. I'll probably go with a set of stock wheels to put the race tires on. Not sure if I'll go with an upgrade for the street, depends on what the options are and how much $$.
A set of Konis will go one when they are available! Other than that, I'll keep the outside as stock as possible. |

HID head and fog lamps unless they come from the factory with them. only other exterior mod is going to be going back to the concept side mirrors.. even if i have to engineer and fabricate them myself.
Oh and cowl hood if thats not included with the trim model I get.

anything i replace , im planning on keeping all the stock parts just so i can restore it if i decide to lateron down the road.
as far as exterior, i think im going to put some black 20 or 21" hre wheels on it. hopefully a little spoiler like the concept has(if its not an option).lower it about 2 inches. tint the windows. full exhaust.baer brake kit. i dont really want to do too much. my last car was a high maintanence car. i had the paint job and all the goodies outside and i was affraid to REALLY drive the car. this car i want ot keep stock outside look and really concentrate on the suspension and the motor and braking. make it a street car. maybe racing stripes, ive always wanted racing stripes.

I'll probably get some clear corners and possibly tail smokeouts, not blackouts because I like a deep red look. I would really like to put in some HID's, if not offered from the factory, with a bright white, blue-ish tint. Maybe some stripes too. Performance is going to be my first concern so this will all come after the engine mods.

Well, personally, I'm not big on investing in a depreciating asset. With that said if I do mods, if any at all, they'll be minimal. This will be my daily driver so I don't want to attract unwanted attention at any level. As long as the gunmetal five-spokes make it through to production (probably will as the Vette has such an option) I'll be good. An exhaust would be nice but so as long as it has a valve switch (ultra cool) to keep things quiet when I'm not B-road blasting.

I will wait and see what, if any, options GM offers, from the factory. And I really wish I had bought one of the special "dealer versions" (Intimidator SS
) when I ordered the SS. So, I will try and be patient, and order/buy exactly what I want. And leave it at that. If I'm bitten by the 'Mod Bug', I'll satisfy the urge by further modding my '99 SS. Personally, I prefer the "stock appearance". The "mods" I've performed on the SS have been done w/o changing the "stock" look, and I'm hoping at this point, that when I bring the "new addition" home, "he" will be exactly what I envisioned. |

I'm already compiling a list of mods. This will include a thoroughly upgraded audio system, catback exhaust, intake, headers, a cowl hood (if the stock one is too flat), and maybe a supercharger once the warrantee ends. I like the look of the Camaro as it is, but I can never drive a car that I haven't made mine. Plus, I've never been satisfied with stock audio in any car.

There are going to be a lot of these around, so perhaps exercising less restraint would go a long way in making the car more individualized. I'd really like to see what official GM aftermarket mods will be available. I'd definitely be interested.

magnacharger is distributed by GMPP at dealers now so you can have the dealer install it and you KEEP all your warranties (or get equivilent ones)

limited external mods for me. Hide-away headlights and side exiting exhaust are probably about it. Mechanically, I can't even begin to speculate yet because we don't know what the drivetrain and suspension will be.

If the handling is too loose sways are going in for sure. That's the only mechanical mod I'd ever deem necessary or probable other than exhaust.

go in to your local GM dealer they have the info
the magna charger site sucks though, no good info on new stuff, like thier intergrated water intercooled high "helix" supercharger for the genIII/IV engines. also for the warranties you have to have them install
