OOOOHHHH Man, I'm really glad to hear that. I wonlder if you can have AFM with a S/C??? I know that most new superchargers have a blow by for low speed / low rpms... How cool woudl that be.

You know the big decision that may be facing all of us... Do we jump all over an LSA type Gen IV motor or wait for the Gen V's to hit the streets..... I know we don't know anything about the Gen V engines yet.... But as we learn more, I'm gonna be curious to see if they will cause me to wait...:(

^I think Dragon was saying a SC and AFM would work fine. Not sure, but pretty sure he'll chime in to let us know.

To the posts that mentioned the car was real quiet...I remember in the G8 test drive article on Edmunds they said the V8 was really quiet, and GM should include the number for Flowmasters when they sell the car. That is probably the case here. GM is just using really, really quiet exhausts, probably to appear more socially acceptable. I don't mind. Upgrading the mufflers is no big deal.

Also, notice how many new members we're getting, apparently attracted here by the spy pics. Most seem to love it. GM struck gold. That is for darn certain.

It looks great. Easy to make it loud if that's what you want.
Me, I wouldn't bother.

No the PCM will not be able to compensate for the boost levels you could hurt the economy of the engine because you are still adding air to the cylinder in the compression stroke but not adding any down force in the power stroke so this would be a definate downside. I see a Tune to deactivate the AFM if a Supercharger or other FI is added.

This is the same issue with adding CAMS to the 4.6L 3V GT Motor, it has a VCT (Varable Cam Timing) if you install Race Cams you will loose power with the VTC, so most deactivate this feature which is like VTEC in a Honda.

I don't know about you guys but I'm really glad that they are making this care AFM. I have my RX-8 that I have been limmited to taking out once or twice a week because of gas. I'm probably going to baby my new Camaro when I get it but it will be nice to be able to take it on long trips and even use it for work. I'm leaning on still using my wife's beater of a kia that gets 35mpg. As far as my Camaro being loud, I want my windows on my house to rattle when I pull in to my drive way. There's this kid in town with a mustang GT that I beat with my stock, mind you, RX-8 and he keeps trying to get my attention at my office with his loud exhaust. I want that thing to be a mouse fart in comparison to by baby.
