Such "great" advice from some posters. Precisely why I generally stick to the technical pages.

Okay... once again, there is no such thing as a Camaro "RS". "RS" is a trim package. If you want help with mechanical/engine-related issues, you'll have to state what sub-model you have (LS, LT, SS, ZL1, etc.). Save a little time and put it in your signature. Thanks.

Everybody on this forum knows when someone says an RS they are referring to a V6. Yes my 2011 was a 1 LT but on the back where my 2013 say SS it said RS. Its understood by everyone so you don't have to relay your message everytime someone post. Everybody here including you knew what he was talking about!

Jeza,

Apologies to hear about the CEL concerns with your Camaro. This appears to be a situation where an official diagnosis may be necessary. If we can assist in scheduling and monitoring an appointment on your behalf, feel free to contact us privately and include name, phone number, VIN, and mileage.

I had aftermarket hids on my last car, BMW M3, and they drew a code. There is an adapter they have to eliminate the codes. But, not sure if it will work with a newer cars. My BMW was a 97. It is possible and most likely the Hids are the cause.

PammieSSDream,

Very sorry to hear about this. I understand that you're seeking thoughts and opinions, but send me a message if you decide to want to take it a step further and get an official diagnosis at your local dealer. Here to help.
