Radiator support removed for ZL1 conversion?
So I had the body shop install the Zl1 front end instead of doing it myself, The guy said he had to take off the platic piece at the bottom to get the lower grill to fit. The piece I am talking about it the piece you have to cut if/when you install the ADM race scoop (I will post a pic tonight if it helps).
Edit: I think this is the radiator support, but I could be wrong. Is this normal for the ZL1 conversion, or should I put that piece back on, it just seems like the lower fascia support should be attached to that. I also have left over screws and clips so I am assuming they probably g ot that.

looking at the parts diagram I am pretty certain it was the radiator support he took off, so I am assuming I am gonna want to put that back on, not sure why he said it wouldnt fit with it on.

This thing, do I really need it on there? It doesn't seem super sturdy by any means

It is normal to cut some off each side or it will hit the lower grille. Not sure if you need the whole thing on there. I just cut about 6 inches on each side if I remember correctly. Here is a video

I put my ZL1 nose on without cutting those ends off. They fold back and flex enough to get the nose on.
I thought by leaving them in place, it would keep any debris from further blowing in thru the grille into the engine bay or fender well.

Yeah I am assuming he didnt try very hard, I will try to get up under there this weekend and see if I can put it back on without taking the nose off. I just wanted to make sure the radiator wasnt gonna fall out or something lol.

So I never put this thing back on. Does anyone see this causing issues not having it on?

I left mine on but cut the ends off so the new bumper would fit. No subsequent problems.
