Homemade air scoop idea
So before I decided to spend $75 on an air scoop to feed my Roto-fab cai, I figured I would grab some scrap I had laying around and try to make one. This is just a rude and crude design that I came up with real quick but I figured I'd see what people thought about it, and if there is anything that needs to be redone.

Make sure you cut some plastic in the front of it.
Also the more enclosed the sides are the more directed the air will be to the filter. Just my 2c. Other than that, not bad at all! |

There are more than one way to do it. Before I went with the NewEra otr intake this is what I had for a scoop. No water issues from heavy rains and it worked rather good.

yeah I didn't want to cut the plastic until I knew if I was keeping it and it was done. I still want to add some more for the side under the fog light, the top already buts up against fender liner when installed, which helps direct upwards. I figured this way, it uses a lot more space, which means it can move a lot more air.
