Eibach Spring install help Urgent

Hey guys installing these now. The back went fine and springs were snug when I put them back on the strut. The thing I am concerned about is on the front when I put the new springs back on the strut and tighten down the retainer my spring does not bottom out in the groove but when I put in in the car and jack the rotor up as if the tire was on the ground the spring goes in the groove and is snug. Is this normal. Also up in the engine bay where the strut is mounted through the body I have a gap that increase/decrease when lifting or lowering the car but when the car is on the ground there is a pretty big gap but the nuts are all tight. Any immediate input would be appreciated before I put the wheels back on. Thanks

That is how it is supposed to be. Looks a little funny and makes you second guess yourself but it is cool.
